Sobre la campaña
Raíces de Resistencia es una campaña regional de fotos y videos iniciada por miembrxs de la Red del Sureste por los Derechos de lxs Inmigrantes (SEIRN, por sus siglas en inglés) que busca celebrar y representar visualmente a lxs inmigrantes y refugiadxs en el Sur y mostrar que aunque nuestras comunidades están siendo atacadas, estamos orgullosxs de vivir, amar, luchar y resistir en el Sur de los Estados Unidos. Queremos enviar un mensaje poderoso a nuestras comunidades de que no estamos solxs, que no todo está perdido, y que estamos unidxs, arraigadxs en nuestras comunidades y nuestras raíces para vencer estos ataques en contra de nuestros derechos. A la misma vez, queremos enviarle un mensaje inconfundible a Trump y los demás políticos de que tenemos el coraje para resistir y que no nos vamos a dejar intimidar, porque nuestra fuerza viene de nuestra dignidad y nuestra humanidad. About the campaign
Roots of Resistance is a regional photo and video campaign initiated by members of the Southeast Immigrant Rights Network (SEIRN) that seeks to celebrate and visually represent immigrants and refugees in the South and show that even though our communities are under attack, we are proud of living, loving, struggling and resisting in the United States South. We want to send a strong message to our communities that we are not alone, that not all is lost, and that we are united, rooted in our communities and connected to our roots to overcome these attacks against our rights. At the same time, we want to send an unequivocal message to Trump and other politicians that we have the courage to resist and that we will not let them intimidate us, because our strength comes from our dignity and our humanity.
